With phase one construction already underway, the directors of the Croasdaile Village retirement community in north Durham have announced they are embarking on a $70 million expansion project.

The community owned by United Methodist Retirement Homes had received state approval in 2015 to add as many as 34 additional adult care home beds to the 110-acre Croasdaile Village campus, but Executive Director Howard DeWitt at the time was unwilling to commit to if and when those beds might be added.
