Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens and his allies on Friday moved to withhold state low-income housing tax credits this fiscal year, a program that many developers use in Kansas City and across the state.

The vote came at a Missouri Housing Development Commission meeting in Columbia, the Columbia Daily Tribune reports. The motion, made by former Republican state Sen. Jason Crowell, was to fully fund federal tax credits, but not allocate state credits.
